GUYS, it’s officially winter, can you believe it? No school, holidays, great food, and an excuse to wear cute outfits! What’s not to love? Speaking of clothes, cozy & simple are my two criteria for winter outfits because getting dressy when it’s cold is a struggle.
TBH, I’m pretty passionate about my fall/winter wardrobe, so I figured this would be the perfect opportunity to start fashion posts like I mentioned in my last Chats with Kat. Tobi was kind enough to send me some cute pieces to show off my cozy & simple outfits for the winter season, and I’m excited to share these with all of you!
Dress – Tobi // Jacket – Aeropostale (similar) // Over-the-Knee Boots – Lexie and Abbie
Shout-out to my little sister Eliza for helping me style this, because it’s probably my favorite out of all of the simple outfits I’ve put together for this post. This shift dress is my favorite light lavender color, and it instantly makes you look put together without all of the hassle.
Also, can we talk about these over-the-knee boots for a quick second? They’re so comfortable (I wear them every day), and they make me feel like the kind of gal that has her life together all the time.
Striped Sweater – Tobi // Black Skinny Jeans – American Eagle // Black Booties – Madden Girl (similar)
This outfit combo is something I wear basically every day – you can’t go wrong with a sweater and black denim in the winter! I added the heeled booties to make the outfit a little less basic, but the sweater is really the focal point of the look. Olive is one of those perfect winter-time colors, so this look had me feeling sort of festive with the berry lip I was wearing.
Black Cardigan – Tobi // Blanket Scarf – Charming Charlie (similar) // Black Skinny Jeans – American Eagle // Black Booties – Madden Girl (similar)
This has been my go-to outfit throughout the end of the semester – I’ve developed a blanket scarf obsession this season, and I have no shame. Even though this look is super basic & cozy, the blanket scarf and heels add a bit of sophistication that make it look like you tried. Also, I got so many compliments on this cardigan from Tobi, and it’s the coziest thing ever to boot!
A huge thank you to my boyfriend for assuming the role of photographer and taking the photos for this post!
My style is not high fashion by any means, but I hope this first ever fashion post gave you an idea of what I wear on the daily and a little bit of inspiration too! I’m a big believer in simple outfits, because they cater to my running-around-campus-every-day lifestyle.
