IT’S FALL, YA’LL! Basically, this season is every blogger’s dream. Beyond “basic” pumpkin everything and cozy Bath & Body Works candles, a good fall wardrobe is something we all love and take pride in. Comfy sweaters and layers upon layers are the true mark of a fall outfit, and I was so excited when I got to dust my sweaters off the second it got chilly this year.
Speaking of layers, my new favorite staple piece in my fall wardrobe has got to be my denim jacket from Madewell. I received it as a present for my birthday (Thanks Mom & Dad!), and I haven’t stopped wearing it since. Most recently, I took my new favorite jacket out on the town when Caitlyn came to visit New Jersey and New York City a couple of weeks ago!
I’ll be the first to admit that this jacket comes at a steep price, but I definitely think it’s worth it. It’s normally pretty difficult for me to find things like jackets that fit my arms but are also a good length, and this denim jacket fits the bill. I’ve already gotten so much use out of it this fall, and I plan on using it even more as we get into the colder months!

For this look particularly, I paired this fall wardrobe staple with a cutie sweater I bought from Nasty Gal, black jeans, and my Vans. Catch me wearing different variations of this outfit pretty much every day – that is, when I’m not wearing cardigans (lol).
A Very NYC Day
Okay, so more about this trip. Caitlyn came to visit me for her fall break a couple of weeks ago, and we ended up taking a Sunday to visit Gabby from The Swirl in New York City for a day full of cute touristy things. In all of the years I’ve lived in or near NYC, I’d never walked across the Brooklyn Bridge before, so that was definitely a highlight of the trip.
Additionally, we hit up a ton of my favorite spots – Washington Square Park, the Friends Building, and the High Line.
It was so much fun exploring with Caitlyn again, and it was an absolute pleasure to meet Gabby! I love love love getting to meet blogger friends IRL, so this trip was such a great time for me.
