Graduation Outfits – Class of 2019 ft. PrettyLittleThing

    March 29, 2019

*This post was written by me in collaboration with PrettyLittleThing. I received items from PrettyLittleThing’s graduation shop for this post, however all thoughts and opinions are my own!*

YOU GUYS – when you are reading this, there will be only 52 days until I am a college graduate! If you don’t already know, I am so excited for graduation. I can’t wait to be finally done with exams, all of these stressful projects, and my undergrad degree!

Naturally, due to my excitement about graduation, I’ve already given much thought to my graduation outfit. I want to walk across stage in something that not only makes me feel confident, but also super comfortable. If you’re in the same boat as me…this post is for you!

I partnered with PrettyLittleThing on this post to show you some items from their graduation shop. These two pieces they were so kind to send me fit that bill perfectly, and I am so excited to show them to you!

    Dusty Blue Lace Dress

Do you guys ever online shop and feel a piece call out to you? Like, Katrina, I belong to you. Okay, maybe not, but that’s how I feel about this dress. It’s definitely a top contender for the one I’ll be wearing on my actual graduation day.

    Lace Dress

I chose this color as an alternative to the traditional white grad dress, and I’m so happy with my choice! However, if you’re still interested in a white dress, you’re in luck because this dress comes in white (+ 6 other colors)! 😉 The ruffles on the dress are super flattering, and the high neck creates a beautiful silhouette. I also ordered a size 10 in this, and even though I was slightly concerned about the length when I saw it online, it falls perfectly above my knees. I’m in love with this dress, and I already can’t wait to wear it again.

    Black Bardot Jumpsuit

Because of my height (I’m 5’2, hehe), I normally steer clear of jumpsuits. They tend to fit me funny and are very rarely flattering. HOWEVER. This jumpsuit is far and wide the exception to that rule!

    Jumpsuit

I ordered a size 10 and it fits me perfectly. The wide leg along with the length are super flattering for my height and body type. The fabric is also super stretchy and comfortable – it makes me feel like I’m wearing sweats! All of these combined make for an outfit that is perfect for any grad event. I’m actually going to be wearing this to my Honors College banquet in May!

    Accessories

I am not a big accessory gal, but I do know the value of a good pairing of simple accessories! I ordered a pair of rose gold hoops, a clutch, and a pair of strappy heels from PLT, and I’m really happy with the quality of each of them.

Clutch / Strappy Heels / Hoop Earrings

This clutch is a beautiful rose gold color, and I love the little clasp at the top. I like this because I feel like rose gold goes with almost anything, and I can repurpose this clutch for years of parties and events to come.

I also absolutely love these shoes. They’re super comfy to wear, and the nude color makes them easy to pair with any outfit. The block heel also makes them a lot easier to walk in than your normal stiletto, which is a plus for an awkward girl like me! My biggest fear is falling when walking across that stage (yikes!) but I’m confident that I can walk in these. Which is saying something!

Finally, the hoops! I’m a huge fan of the hoop – they’re pretty much the only earrings I wear, and I think they tie together any outfit. The hoops might be slightly large (depending on your hoop preference), but I think since they aren’t super thick they’re appropriate to wear with these dresses.

    Final Thoughts

I’m in love with all of these pieces! They are absolutely stunning, and the quality happily surprised me. All in all, if you’re in the market for a graduation outfit, be sure to keep PrettyLittleThing in mind because they have so many styles that are perfect for a rising grad!

Do you have your graduation outfit planned out yet? Have you ever shopped on PrettyLittleThing?
