Hi friends – it’s been quite some time since I’ve done a favorites post, but I’m excited to share everything that I am currently obsessed with! Since being abroad and starting my internship, there are a ton of new things that I’ve been trying out and loving. From stores to makeup and music, my favorites are changing, but in the best way possible!

Glossier Boy Brow
You guys, the hype is real, and I’m not just saying that! My friend Megan and I visited the Glossier NYC showroom a couple of weeks ago, and we both ended up loving the products that we found. Plus, it was basically an Insta-girl’s daydream, and the pink lined up perfectly with my feed. I have no shame.
The Boy Brow is *just* a brow gel, but it does a really great job of making sure your brows stay in place without it feeling crusty or weird. I also got the tinted version in black, and I cannot tell you how much time it saves me in the morning! I’m one of those people that never leaves the house without their brows on, and this baby does the trick in like 15 seconds. I love it, and I’m never going back to another brow gel.
Madewell
To preface, this favorite and the next are a sign that I am growing up and making quality purchases which is really cool and exciting. It also means that my wallet hates me right now, but we’re just gonna step around that for now. Oops?
Madewell makes some of the best clothes I have ever tried on – each piece is such high quality! They also have great sales, which is essential when your girl is trying to ball on a budget. I was able to score a silk wrap top the other day for just $5. Yes, you heard that right: FIVE. DOLLARS. I’m currently saving up for my next Madewell purchase, as the pieces I have currently have made me a fan for life.
Banana Republic
My parents shop at Banana, so I’ve always associated it with established working professionals & over-the-top prices. That is, until my roommates this summer showed me just how cute their clothes can be for the working gal! I can’t deny that it is on the higher end of the spectrum, but the quality of the pieces just can’t be beat. Plus, their sale section is bomb – I was able to score a blazer that originally came in at $100+ for only $40! Is that a steal, or what?
Music Favorites
I’ll be honest and say I haven’t been listening to much new music. I honestly can’t be bothered to peruse the “New Music Friday” playlist on Spotify and wait for something that I love to come along. That being said, the past few months I have been living for re-discovering music that I listened to when I was younger.
I put together two playlists – nostalgia at its finest and emo dance party – and both feature music that I listened to in my “younger” days. These playlists have been a really nice way for me to look back on what my parents would play in the car or the songs I listened to when I first got into music. Plus, jamming out in the car is the best way to keep my long commutes interesting!

Smile Brilliant Electric Toothbrush
I feel so fortunate to be partnering with Smile Brilliant on this post, mostly because this toothbrush they sent me is out of this world! I’m used to your run-of-the-mill, dollar store toothbrushes, so this electric toothbrush was a game changer for me.
The cariPRO Ultrasonic electric toothbrush is rechargable with interchangeable heads, and has five distinct settings for all of your clean teeth needs: Clean, White, Massage, Gum Care, and Sensitive. Each is set to run for two minutes exactly to ensure that you brush your teeth for the proper amount of time, with pauses every 30 seconds to notify you to move to a different quadrant.
I’ve been using it for the past week-and-a-half now, and I really love it! My teeth always feel super clean after a brushing session, and I am hoping to see results from using the “White” setting soon. However, I will say that it’s important to be careful when choosing the setting on the toothbrush – I chose the “Clean” setting on my sensitive gums, and it was not my best decision. I would recommend using the sensitive option for those who tend to experience some sensitivity (like me!) and work your way up to “Clean”. Still, I am really happy with the results so far!!

Summer Internship
I spoke with you guys last time in my Chats with Kat post about my summer internship, and it’s hard to believe that it’s actually over! I definitely grew so much as an engineer and as a young professional, and I couldn’t be more thankful for the experience. I learned a lot about product development, FDA design controls, geometric tolerancing, computer-aided-design, and a bunch of other things that I know will be incredibly valuable as I pursue my future career as a biomedical engineer.
If you have any specific questions about the internship, please let me know – I honestly love to talk about my experience (obviously), and I’d be more than happy to put a post together or something like that!
Final Thoughts
Those are all of my current favorites right now! As the summer is winding down and school is looming nearer, I’m sure this list will change, and I will be sure to keep you posted on all of that.
